No matter who you are or how carefully you plan your life - things happen. Sometimes these things provide multiple opportunities, sometimes they create challenges and often they have the potential to create conflict.
In my role as a professional coach and conflict resolution professional, I have the unique privilege of working with a wide variety of clients who are in search of personal and professional answers, solutions, and effective strategies for creating the life they want to live. Certified in EQ-i 2.0 leadership, workplace and group assessments, this valuable tool is a great starting point for developing a balanced approach to interpersonal interactions in any setting.
Working for over 26 years as a mediator, trainer, educator and professional coach, my focus is on assisting people in finding the best solutions and developing a path for personal and professional growth and development that is uniquely their own.
My background and credentials include a Master of Education (M.Ed) in Curriculum and Instruction, CDM (Credentialed Distinguished Mediator) through TMCA, and I am a Board Certified Coach (BCC) and fully certified in EQ-i 2.0 assessments. I have experience in senior management, administration and as an entrepreneur with my own business.
Executive, leadership, and educator coaching is a one-on-one, confidential process. In the sessions, which may be conducted by phone or in-person, the coach and the client work together to develop a plan for resolving a problem, developing a personal or professional goal or developing a strategy for personal success and achievement. During this process, the coach will ask questions, creating opportunities for the client to set their own path to success.
Unlike consulting or mentoring, the coach is not there to provide solutions or to mandate change. Instead, the individual and the coach work together to explore options, create a plan and to implement the strategy developed through the coaching sessions. For any individual at any level in an organization or company, as well as for entrepreneurs and leaders, this is a chance to strategically evaluate options and make changes which are personalized to your unique values, talents, skills and abilities.
Coaching is an opportunity to have a one-on-one, confidential discussion over a period of weeks or months, usually one session every other week, to develop your full potential. It is a supportive, highly interactive process to focus in on what you wish to accomplish in your professional and personal life. Every coaching session is focused on you, and you will decide the path to success on your own terms.
Group coaching is highly effective for teams in a workplace, or for professionals with similar goals in professional growth and development. The group dynamic provides opportunities to network and develop ongoing support within your profession, industry or location that can be invaluable.

Mediation and Conflict Resolution Services
Conflict can develop between family members, parents, co-workers, management, friends, business partners, as well as members of the community. Conflict and differences of opinion are a natural occurrence and can lead to the development of new and creative solutions that make the ongoing relationship more positive and productive. Conflict does not need to lead to a win-lose situation. Through mediation all parties involved in the conflict can develop a greater understanding of the issues, as well as develop practical, workable solutions that lead to win-win situations. In addition, the parties work together to increase their communication and problem-solving skills.
Some of the key principles of Positive Communication Systems mediation services include:
the use of the transformative model of mediation, which allows parties to develop their own resolutions and outcomes
agendas and sessions developed based on the needs and interests of the parties as they relate to the resolution of the issue
emphasis on the on-going relationship between the parties
support of the parent-child relationship in family and divorce mediation
fostering of collaborative and cooperative opportunities for all parties
encourage parties to increase their ability to resolve any possible future conflicts without the need to involve a third party
emphasis on communication skills development and enhancement
development of comprehensive, sustainable ways for all parties in conflict to develop a better understanding of the issues which leads to the complete development of a comprehensive solution.
facilitating effective communication between all parties at the table

"I have been struggling for months in dealing with passive-aggressive issues with staff around change in operational processes. After working through team training and coaching with Positive Communication Systems, (Mardi), we have come together as a team and are back on track to meet our goals."
- Larry S. Customer Service Dept. Manager, Dallas, TX
" I cannot say enough good things about the leadership coaching and personal insight I gained form working with Mardi. I was initially skeptical of the value in having a coach, now I wish I had invested in myself years earlier."
